Event Day Classes:  

Cost - $125 each
Current vendors may choose their class time(s) & may hold more than 1 class while available. Classes are free to the attendees, run 1 hour in length during the show & are designed to drive traffic to your booth. No product sales allowed in these classes & educators have 30 minutes in between classes for set up/take down. Class times are available on a first reserved basis.

*following the guidelines of the Gatlinburg Convention Center, there are NO REFUNDS once a class is paid for.
Carpet protectant tape must remain in place & cannot be moved or altered. 

Any damages incurred to the GCC carpet within your booth space or classroom will be billed to your company.

General Operating Procedures per the GCC rules:

 NO long term parking in the circular turn-around drive. Quick load in/out only. You will be towed.
 Paid parking lots are within walking distance of the GCC ($8 - $12 per day).
 Heat tape & double face tape may not be used on permanent carpet.

 Do not staple, nail, tape, spray, hang or attach anything to walls, ceilings, fixtures, & floors. 
Signs may be hung on the back drape using fishing string, 'S' hooks or other non-damaging materials.      
 No helium tanks or gallons are permitted.

 No balloons, candles or open flames of any sort.
 No glitter or confetti is permitted.
*The GCC is permitting carpet protectant tape around the demo area with approval to cautiously use nail glitter.Carpet tape CANNOT be removed!

 Banners, overhead signs & special decorations may not be hung except in booths.
 Planters & furniture in public areas may not be removed or repositioned.
 No smoking inside. Smoking areas are designated outside usually near the entrances.

 Absolutely NO changes can be made to the final Fire Marshall approved floor plan within 10 days prior to move-in. 
 No aisles may be blocked for any reason.
 The GCC does not permit any outside food to be brought into the facility. 
 Sales are on the 'honor system' to collect sales tax at 9.75% designating that sales were made at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.

NO TWO VENDORS CAN SELL THE SAME PRODUCTS unless they both give consent.

Certificate of Insurance: 

The Gatlinburg Convention Center requires all shows to carry a liability insurance policy for the duration of their usage of the GCC, covering inside the premises, outside in the parking lot, as well as coverage on their vehicles.

Monday Workshop Classes: 

Cost: $375 
Classrooms: #1 - #11
 *holds 22 - 24 classroom style

Vendors may hold an optional class on Monday following The Event, which helps offset expenses, plus hands-on instruction ensures correct product usage for customer satisfaction.  
"Hands-on" means the techs actually work on themselves/others using your products for the majority of the class.

Classes must be held at the GCC & be reserved thru The Event management. No offsite classes permitted.

This prevents piggy-backing by ‘rogue' educators/companies, which cuts into YOUR profits.​

ALL Workshop requirements are non-negotiable:
Classrooms available on a 1st reserved basis.

1 Classroom either on Sat. or Mon. per vendor - if overbooked, you'll receive a prompt refund.   
Classrooms available only to current vendors - no additional classrooms will be added.
 Your participation in The Event MUST be listed on your company’s web site.

Subject - must pertain to nails; does not have to be product specific.
Cost - attendees pay you directly & you determine the fee.
Start/end times - set up no earlier than 8:30am, class may begin at 9:00am or later; exit the GCC by 5pm!

 Hold 2 shorter classes OR 1 longer class.
 Lunch break between Noon - 1:00pm; concession stand only on show day; no outside food permitted in the GCC.
 Class size - determined by room size.

 Requirements - you determine if attendees need to bring supplies or not & if a certificate is awarded or not.
 Make sales during class - strongly encouraged.
 Classrooms are provided 1 standard free set up with carpet protectant tape - once in place, it cannot be removed or altered. 

 *The Event follows the guidelines of the Gatlinburg Convention Center regarding 'NO REFUNDS' once payment is made & a classroom is assigned. Classrooms cannot be held until full payment is received. Any damages incurred to the carpet within your booth or classroom space will be billed to your company.

date to coordinate your classroom furniture set up. Unless otherwise otherwise instructed by you within this time frame, each Workshop Classroom will be set up "classroom style" according to the GCC's method of arrangement. Once carpet protectant tape & furniture has been put into place, neither/both can be moved, removed or altered in any way. Failure to abide by these rules will prohibit your company from reserving classrooms in the future.

After The Event is over, companies should contact the City of Gatlinburg to receive your “Gross Receipts Tax Form”. These taxes are to be paid on the honor system for all conventions held in the city of Gatlinburg, TN.

A Square receipt will be auto-generated to you via email as confirmation of receiving your payment. At that point your company's participation will be advertised on The Event web site & social media.

Material Handling & Outbound Shipments: 

The GCC will only accept shipments on:   
Thursday or Friday, July 6th or 7th, 2017

 NO USPS delivery
 NO Saturday deliveries
 NO deliveries after 5:00pm (EST)

 The GCC will store these packages in a secure room free of charge.
 Shipments arriving outside of the 2 day time frame will be returned to your company at YOUR expense!
 On vendor move-in day, the GCC will have your company's boxes sitting inside your booth space.

Payment must be received a minimum of 14 days before scheduled exhibitor move-in date to receive the advanced rate. All orders received after that will be charged at the higher floor rate. 

 PAY ONLINE HERE - then when new screen opens, select the tab (right side of page under 'Event Planning') for "online ordering". Choose "Nail Tech Event of the Smokies" from the event choice menu.

Exhibitor Move-Out:

 Demo's should begin winding down at 4:30pm - focus on closing last minute sales (less you have to pack up).
 The move-out process begins at 5pm & ends no later than 7:00pm (EST).
 The move-out process will occur thru the 2 back emergency exits (
not the front lobby where attendees will be) that leads to an interior corridor where the 10 four-wheel dollies will be. Take turns using them & return them to the lobby when finished.
 If you wish to move-out faster, ship/bring your own dolly.
 For safety reasons, keep boxes/pallets inside YOUR booths until the last attendee exits.

Stragglers still on site after 7:00pm will pay the security guards' fee on the spot, $20 per hour in cash.

 Enter thru the doors to the Mills Center on Historic Nature Trail. 
 Please use the 4 designated parking spaces to quickly unload, then move your vehicle. 
 DO NOT BLOCK the circular Trolley turnaround drive - you will be towed.
 A security guard must be present for all move-in/out times. 
Schedule flights to arrive in due time for the Saturday move-in process.
