GCC's General Operating Procedures:

A security guard ($19 per hour) must be on site for all contracted hours.

Heat tape & double face tape may not be used on permanent carpet.

Do not staple, nail, tape, spray, hang or attach anything to walls, ceilings, fixtures, & floors. 


Signs may be hung on the back drape with: 

Fishing string, 'S' hooks or other non-damaging materials.       

No helium tanks or gallons are permitted.
 No balloons, candles or open flames of any sort.


 No glitter or confetti is permitted:

The GCC is permitting carpet protectant tape around the demo area & allowing us to cautiously use nail glitter. Be extremely careful so the GCC does not rescind their generosity. Immediately & thoroughly clean up any accidents.  

Carpet tape CANNOT be removed.


 Banners, overhead signs & special decorations may be hung in booths only.
 Planters & furniture in public areas may not be removed or repositioned.
 No smoking inside. Smoking areas are designated outside.


Fire Marshall approved floor plan:
 Absolutely NO changes can be made to the final floor plan within 10 days prior to move-in. 

 No aisles may be blocked for any reason.


 The GCC does not permit any outside food to be brought into the facility. 
 Sales are on the 'honor system' to collect sales tax at 9.75% designating that sales were made at the Gatlinburg Convention Center.

The GCC will only accept shipments on:

  Thursday or Friday, June 27th & 28th, 2019

 
NO USPS delivery - FedEx is the most reliable
 NO Saturday deliveries
 NO deliveries after 5:00pm (EST)


 The GCC will store these packages in a secure room free of charge.  Shipments arriving outside of the 2 day time frame will be rejected & returned to your company at YOUR expense.
 Your company's shipment will be brought to your booth free of charge.

 Pallets wrapped in plastic.
 
Pre-printed return shipping labels & bill of lading applied.
 Prior arrangements made with your carrier to pick up shipments.

We CANNOT make shipping arrangements for you or print shipping labels.

Companies may hold an optional class during vendor move-in to help offset expenses, plus hands-on instruction ensures correct product usage for customer satisfaction.  "Hands-on" means the techs actually work on themselves or others using your products for the majority of class time. 

Classes must be held at the GCC & be reserved thru management. 
No offsite classes permitted.​ This prevents piggy-backing, which cuts into YOUR profits.

Classrooms are on a 1st reserved basis.


1 Classroom either on Saturday or Monday 

(if overbooked, you'll receive a prompt refund).   


Classrooms:

Available only to current Exhibitors. 
 Your Workshop MUST be listed on your company’s web site if you expect to fill it.

Subject:

Must pertain to nails; does not have to be product specific.


Cost:

 Attendees pay you directly & you determine the fee.


Start times:

 Set up no earlier than 8:00am; classes may begin after set up.


End times:

Everyone exits the GCC by 5:00pm per our contract, NO exceptions.

*abuse of this end time WILL result in a $250 advance deposit for any future classroom reservations. This deposit will only be refunded if the Educator vacates the classroom before 5:00pm, otherwise it is forfeited without recourse.


Sales:

Are strongly encouraged, but absolutely NO elaborate booth set ups in Classrooms.


 Class duration:

Hold 2 shorter classes (9am - Noon/1:00 - 4:45pm) OR 1 longer class (9am - 4:45pm).


 Lunch break:

 Noon - 1:00pm

(prevents classes from overlapping)

*concession stand only on show day; no outside food permitted in the GCC.


 Class size: 

determined by room size; table configuration arranged for max capacity.


 Supplies: 

You determine if techs need to bring supplies or not & if a certificate is awarded.
 

Each Classroom will be set up "classroom style" for max occupancy according to the GCC's method of arrangement. Once carpet protectant tape & furniture have been put into place, neither/both can be moved, removed or altered in any way. 


*Failure to abide by these rules will prohibit you from reserving classrooms in the future.

These SANCTIONED offsite Workshops are available only to companies holding Saturday or Monday Workshops at the GCC. This allows us to meet the demand for multiple day hands-on classes where techs pay YOU to attend, but avoid the over saturation of too many choices & still have order.

Order power from the GCC if you require it. Payment must be made to the GCC a minimum of 14 days before exhibitor move-in date to receive the advanced rate discount. All orders received later will be charged at the higher floor rate.

Certificate of Insurance:

A Certificate of Insurance is necessary fo
r the duration of your contracted usage of the GCC property covering inside the premises, in the parking lot & outside walkways, as well as coverage on vehicles used for show purposes. 

 YOU must carry a COI to protect yourself.

Companies may choose class time(s) & hold more than 1 class while available. Classes are free to the attendees, run 1 hour in length during the show & are designed to drive more traffic to your booth.


Giving each class attendee a coupon for a special sale good until the show ends is a great way to increase sales. Grow your database by using a form on the back of the coupon to collect techs contact info to be entered into a prize drawing (held by you at later date). 


No product sales in these classes. Educators have 30 minutes in between classes for set up/take down. Class times are available on a first reserved basis until sold out.

Gross Receipts Tax Form:

After the show, companies should contact the City of Gatlinburg to receive your “Gross Receipts Tax Form”. These taxes (9.75%) are to be paid
on the honor system for all products sold in the city of Gatlinburg, TN.

Exhibitor Move-In:   Saturday, June 29th, 2019

 The GCC doors will open at
 8:05am once Event Coordinator is on site. 

All set up must be in progress before 4:00pm & end promptly at 5:00pm.


At 4:05pm:

Any booth not in progress of set up will be considered abandoned & will be dismantled. 
We cannot accommodateany other move-in/out times or days.

 Enter thru the Mills Center on Historic Nature Trail. 

 Please use the 4 designated parking spaces inside the circular Trolley turnaround. 

Quickly unload & then move your vehicle to paid parking across the street. 


 Do not block the circular Trolley drive along the curb - you will be towed.

Schedule flights to arrive in due time for the Saturday move-in process.

Nail Show, Education, Products & Nail Companies!

Exhibitor Move-Out:

 At 4:30pm:

Demo's should begin winding down. 

Focus on closing last minute sales (less you have to pack up to ship back). Sales are more important than last minute demo's......ask your company's CFO & accountant if you doubt this.


5:00 - 7:00pm:
 The move-out process begins & ends promptly as contracted. Educators still on site after 7:00pm will cost us the security guards' fee of an additional $20 per hour which will be invoiced to your company. An unhappy phone conversation will most likely occur after that.


 The move-out process will be thru the side 2 emergency exits & i
nside that interior corridor will be 10 four-wheel dollies for your use at no charge.


Take turns using the dollies & return them to the lobby when finished. If you wish to move-out faster, ship/bring your own dolly.


 To avoid liabilities:

 Keep all boxes & pallets inside YOUR booths until the last attendee exits.
